Where do you find the security key or passphrase on a desktop to share?

I have a HP laptop and I want to connect with my cousin's computer. It says I require their "security key or passphrase" and she said ok, so where would I find that on her computer? Where do I look for the passphrase or whatever is it?

if you are connecting your PC to your cousin's wireless network then the passphrase in in the router. And depending on different brand the procedure is different. Pls provide more info.
When they sent the invite for you to remote in they set a password, ask them.
Work on your cousin's computer on the following steps:

If you're using a router:

1. Go to Start %26gt;%26gt; Run. Type cmd.

2. In the black window, type ipconfig then hit enter.

3. get the default gateway number.

4. open internet explorer and type the default gateway numbers and hit on enter

5. you will have your router's page. look for the wireless tab or anything that says "wireless".

6. you should see the key there.

Hi there.

If you can't go to the default gateway numbers, make sure that your internet explorer has no proxy setting.

1. Open Internet Explorer

2. Go to Tools %26gt;%26gt; Internet Options

3. Go to Connections tab

4. Click on LAN Settings

5. Uncheck everything.

6. Try going to the numbers again.
