Is there an overall better product than Norton for Internet Security and Antivirus protection.?

I use Norton System works and Internet security for all of my computer and internet needs. I am mostly happy with it but I do have issues with it. For one thing, I think it is a huge resource hog on my system. Wanted to hear from you if there is a better overall package.

Oh yes, absolutely, I hate Norton and Norton isn't as good as you think, it can let a few things slip by. I'll start with Anti-Virus, AVG Home Edition, it's free and it uses far less resources than Norton, get it here, http://free.grisoft.com/ and you'll never have to pay a subscription fee again.

For spyware protection I recommend all of the following:

Adaware SE Personal, http://www.lavasoft.com/

Spybot Search and Destroy, http://www.safer-networking.org/

SpywareBlaster, http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/

For a firewall, first I recommend having a hardware firewall which any router will provide and for a software solution I like the Sygate Personal Firewall, http://www.tucows.com/preview/213160

Use all of that software and your PC will be more secure than it ever was with Norton and it will free up many of your resources as well.
