When I open my computer, there is a pop-up (all the time now) from m3SkPlay.exe which says it "

How do I get rid of this pop-up? I don't know how it got into my system. I don't want it - never wanted it. It's a huge annoyance to have to click it off every time I open my computer. Help me!!! (my regular security system is Avast)

Normally your malware programs will delete these gremlins.

Some toolbar add-ons can be removed from Internet Explorer by opening IE %26gt; Tools %26gt; Internet Options 鈥?open the Programs Tab 鈥?at the bottom right click on the button 鈥楳anage add-ons鈥? Highlight the offending add-on and either delete or disable and click OK.

However, you should be aware that a lot of viruses, spyware %26 adware sit in RAM, the registry and System Restore and because of System Restore will return even after deleting or re-booting. Removing can be a little time consuming but thankfully not impossible. Yes there are many web sites offering solutions for the removal of different gremlins but try this first.

Turn off System Restore. This can be achieved by going to 鈥楽tart鈥?%26gt; 鈥楳y Computer鈥?%26gt; 鈥楶roperties鈥?%26gt; Open the 鈥楽ystem Restore鈥?tab then enable 鈥淭urn off system restore on all drives鈥?%26gt; click apply %26gt; click ok.

It is now best to re-boot your computer in Safe Mode 鈥?(achieved by pressing F8 continually during boot up) this will prevent the majority of malware from kicking off at this time.
