New with computers,help me with internet security.please?

when i got my comp,it came with mcafee on it.now for the last few months every other day its saying its not protected.mostly the internet security suite,is there a safe free security to download?or what do i do

and if you want to spend nothing, be sure to remember that you will probobly get a 'demo' or gimped version and blackmailed to buy the full version.

My best recomendation is just shell out the money for a 'pay' antivirus and firewall program. Personaly I use Nortan and I am very happy with it.

You absolutely MUST have some form of security or your whole computer could be wrecked by some Virus or a mindless hacker. Your identity could be stolen along with your bank and other personal details.

Which security you choose may be dependant on how much you choose to pay for it. There are free ones out there which are of varying degrees of effectiveness ( as I suppose its fair to say are the ones you pay for)
