How do I play a DVD on my computer? I think it's protected?

Okay, so I'm going on an extended trip for work (I will be taking my laptop but I doubt I will often have access to a TV or a DVD player.

So I bought this pilates DVD thinking I would have a way to work out, no equipment needed. However, the DVD will not play on my computer, probably because of some security feature. Now I'm thinking it's useless to me! Anyone have any suggestions for making it play?
