Security image problem?

Using correct caps but yet after several attempts I can't get past the security image? Is it a setting on my computer? Trying to get new password since I forgot my new one.

This is not an answer, but another notification of the same problem.

This is the exact same problem I have been experiencing--beginning yesterday, January 10, 2007. No matter how carefully I type in the exact symbols, it will not accept my response.

With some images, it is difficult to determine what the symbols are; but even when it is clear exactly what symbols are required, and even tho they are correctly typed in, the block persists.

Someone else used my computer yesterday, without my knowledge or permission, and may have logged into their Yahoo mail. Could that have caused the problem somehow?

This has nothing to do with Router Security. This has to do with having a wireless card, and someone somehow accessing a port in my computer. This causes my computer to lock to a slow halt every now and then.. Its very annoying.

I tried netstat -a -s , but that can be misleading, as firefox uses about 4 ports and yahoo messenger uses about 2 to 3.

So, you really can't tell that way.

Are they actually accessing your computer, or just stealing your bandwidth? I had a problem with a neighbor doing the latter, so I started screwing with him/her. I unplugged my DSL when I saw they were streaming, cutting them off right in the middle. Next, I redirected any initial access through my wireless to a page that told them they were caught! Finally, I went ahead and enabled WEP security. I wasn't worried about my system itself being hacked, just my bandwidth being hijacked when I'm paying for it. If these people were just doing a quick check of email or hitting a few web pages, I would have probably allowed them to continue, but not when they go streaming like they were.

If Add/Remove is not working, try to find the folder in which Norton Anti-Virus is stored, and see if you can find any files that are called un-install. If all else fails, I would just try to delete all folders and files associated with it, but once again, that's ONLY IF ALL ELSE FAILS, including trying to find a un-install file.

And yes, Norton Antivirus is a incredibly horrible anti-virus, all it does it just take up room on your computer, may I suggest using Zone Labs? anyway, good luck with that.

DO NOT JUST DELETE ALL THE FILES IN NORTONS FOLDER!!! it will not do the complex task at hand and only create more problems. Go download a uninstaller at download.com. It should handle it.

Visit the website at http://www.symantec.com and look for the Norton Antivirus 2006 REMOVAL TOOL. This will help you to remove the parts that would not go the first time.

Yes it will. You could very easily download virus and spyware. Not to mention if caught end up like this girl.

When you are downloading a movie or song or something from Limewire, you are allowing that file into the computer. In other words, you are trusting it. However, sometimes the files aren't always trustworthy and they will turn out to be viruses or spyware. They will infect your computer because you have allowed them (the file you downloaded from Limewire) to enter your system. The file will most likely be compressed into a winrar or winzip file. Once you open this up, a virus may spring out. After the virus is released, you may get rid of it using your protection programs but the best protection against these viruses is prevention.
DOWNLOAD ARES GALAXY INSTEAD!!! i cant even begin to tell you how much better it is then limewire, i had both. got rid of limewire because i pretty much only use ares anyway. ares search is so much easier and better, its not even funny, plus it has zero virusus or spyware. check it out dude.

Computer problem whilst trying to run a PC game?

I hope someone can help with this. I have Windows XP and am trying to run Age of Empires II, which I have played before. Now all of a sudden when I open it, the computer screen moves the game about three inches to the left, leaving a black margin on the right side. I tried to change the screen resolution lower and higher, but it makes no difference. I went into Windows help, where it mentioned changing it to 256 colour, but that didn't work either. I tried changing it to an earlier Windows version and also tried to change the display size to 640 x ? (can't remember), but that didn't work. The only thing different about my computer now is that I used to have Norton Security running, but now have ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite. I noticed that until I click allow on the alert Zonealarm displays before opening the game, the display goes distorted, and changed colours to black and blue. PS. This only happens whilst trying to play a PC game, so it's not a monitor problem...

go into the monitor menu and adjust the screen. (on the actual monitor) adjust the positioning and size.

Your GPA isn't very strong. It's not what the top US MS programs look for. You'll have to improve your grades, work in the field for a year or two, and also do very well on your GRE in order to obtain entry.

Hello, I currently use Norton internet security that is supposed to protect my whole computer. Im getting tired of having to renew it for $70 each year so is there software out there (non-downloadable) that will do the same thing as norton without having to be renewed? Do you have to renew Mcafee?

You do not have to renew Norton. However, you do not get the same protection that is given with the yearly subscription. To safeguard your computer I would advise spending the $25-$30 a year for maximum protection. Norton has the info when you log on. I don't remember exactly where it is, but you should be able to find it. Just keep clicking until you find a window that has the information.
